Alkira Secondary College Library is a vibrant, busy and energetic learning space. Classes and study sessions are timetabled in every day.  The library at lunchtime and recess is a hive of activity and is known as a meeting place within the school. The library is stocked with a solid collection of fiction and nonfiction to enrich all students learning.
We use SmartLibrary where students are able to search for books, eBooks, videos and audiobooks.
We also have Overdrive where students are able to borrow eBooks and audiobooks using their own devices.
We have many activities throughout the year, including Book Club, Premiers Reading Challenge and annually we hold a Great Book Swap to raise money for the Indigenous Literacy Foundation.
